On completion of the M.Sc. Physician Associate program, the students will
Obtain an accurate and relevant medical history using effective communication and interpersonal skills that support open dialogue and mutual respect and present it to the Physician
Assist the Physician during the clinical procedures safely and effectively as directed by the physician.
Demonstrate proficiency to place the proper diagnostic study orders to the Physician and present the interpreted data to help with the patient’s assessment and care.
Demonstrate competency in presenting differential diagnosis based on the clinical assessment as directed by the physician.
Carry out a suitable therapeutic management strategy that incorporates both pharmaceutical and non-pharmacological approaches as directed by the physician.
Provide brief, accurate clinical findings to each member of the healthcare team in written, digital, and oral formats.
Demonstrate proficiency to educate patients, their families, and their care team using verbal, written, and nonverbal communication with the aim of promoting health awareness and disease prevention.
Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviour consistent with the PA profession
