CLINICAL FOCUS:
The program offers hands-on training in core respiratory care procedures and critical care skills.
- Respiratory assessment & monitoring: Patient evaluation, vital signs, pulse oximetry, and arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation
- Pulmonary diagnostics: Spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion studies (DLCO), and bedside respiratory function tests
- Airway management: Assistance in intubation, use of OPA/NPA/LMA, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
- Oxygen & aerosol therapy: Administration via nasal cannula, masks, high-flow systems, nebulizers, and MDIs
- Mechanical ventilation: Management of non-invasive (CPAP/BiPAP) and invasive ventilatory support, including ventilator setup and weaning
- Critical care support: ICU-based respiratory care, emergency response, and life-support system monitoring
- Chest physiotherapy & rehabilitation: Airway clearance techniques, postural drainage, and pulmonary rehabilitation
- Infection control & patient safety: Adherence to ICU protocols, sterilization, and prevention of hospital-acquired infections
- Interdisciplinary care: Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and critical care teams
