The Department provides extensive in-patient and out-patient clinical nutrition services, which includes advanced nutrition support through enteral, parenteral, and oral nutrition therapy. The specialized areas covered includes but not restricted to paediatrics, geriatrics, post-operative care, trauma, nephrology, hepatology, gynaecology, oncology, critical care, neuro rehabilitation, paediatric endocrinology, Drug Resistant Epilepsy and Specially challenged children to name a few.
Learners are trained to perform as an integral member of multidisciplinary healthcare teams, with competencies in comprehensive nutritional assessment to identify patients at nutritional risk. This facilitates timely, evidence-based nutritional interventions that play a crucial role in patient recovery and clinical outcomes. Our Students are also trained in delivering effective patient counselling as part of Master Health Check-up programmes, promoting preventive healthcare and lifestyle modification.
